This untitled typeface (previous project-related name: PWS Sans) is a sans serif specifically designed for signage and wayfinding. It has been designed with utmost attention to the highest readability and legibilty, with open counterpunches and a clear differentiation of often confused letterforms, such as I, i, J, j, L, l. The design combines round and edgy, crisp shapes. It is this combination that makes it both functional and characteristic at the same time. It has some very characteristic contemporary features while still being a rock-solid workhorse typeface for use in public space.
The current state of the type system consists of 9 weights from Hairline to Black of the Roman. Italics as well as Condensed styles are still being developed. The final fonts will also have dozens of individual icons and arrows accessible through Opentype features.
